Account & Data Deletion
Official instructions for requesting permanent account and personal data deletion for Essentia Ex Libris.
In compliance with the Google Play Store Account Deletion Policy and global privacy regulations (GDPR & CCPA), Essentia Ex Libris provides clear and straightforward paths for users to permanently delete their account and associated personal data.
Self-Service Deletion (Instant)
If you currently have access to your account, you can permanently erase your data immediately:
- Log in to your account on the web or in the Android mobile application.
- Navigate to Account Settings (accessible via the sidebar or profile menu).
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
- Type
DELETEinto the confirmation field. - Click the red Permanently Delete Account button.
Deletion Request (If App is Uninstalled or Access Lost)
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot log in, you can request manual deletion by sending an email from your registered address:
Subject: Account and Data Deletion Request
Required Information: Please provide your registered email address and full name so our security team can verify your identity.
⏳ Email requests are processed by our compliance team within 48 hours of verification.
What Data is Deleted?
- User profile (Name, Email, Avatar)
- Authentication credentials & Google OAuth link
- Personal library bookmarks & stashes
- Reading progress, completed cards, and streak history
- All personal reflection notes and comments
- Active API tokens and session cookies
We do not retain backup copies of user personal data once deleted. Non-identifiable aggregated statistics (such as overall card read counts across the platform) may remain without any linkage to your identity.
